The Mount Retreat is a 3-day summer retreat for first-year students at the University of Florida and Santa Fe college.

The weekend consists of teachings, worship, community building, scriptural study, and intentional breakout sessions with counselors and fellow incoming students. Students will grow deeply in their love for and knowledge of the Lord, amongst lasting community built on the foundation of the Gospel.

Incoming students will be placed into cabins and paired with student counselors. Our counselors are current students at the University of Florida and Santa Fe, who are ready to walk alongside incoming students and champion them to prioritize their faith during transition into college. During our Ministry Fair, incoming students also have the opportunity to speak with representatives from 30+ local churches and student campus ministries to give them a personal way to seek community that matches their preferences.

Our prayer is not only that students will get plugged into steadfast community, but also that they would grow to view Gainesville as their mission field and develop a desire to actively seek Christ wherever they are called.

OUR MISSION

The Mount strives to equip and empower first-year students at the University of Florida and Santa Fe College by uniting the body of Christ-seeking students to further the Kingdom of God in Gainesville, FL.
